Time 8h10m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 1/2 to 2 lb stew meat cut into 1/2 inch chunks
1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp each salt and pepper
4 Tbsp vegtable oil
8 small baby carrots, cut in 1/2 inch pieces
10 small new potatoes cut into quarters
20 1/2 oz ( 2- 10.25 ounce) jars beef gravy
1 1/2 oz packet dry beef stew seasoning
1/2 can(s) beer
1/2 to 2/3 c frozen peas
1 c frozen pearl onions

Steps:

  • 1. Cut beef into 1/2 inch pieces.
  • 2. In a zip lock bag, put in the flour, and salt and pepper. Add the beef to bag, shaking to coat, you will probably have to do this a few times to get all the beef coated
  • 3. Heat vegtable oil on a large fry pan and saute the beef until browned, you might need to do this in two batches too
  • 4. Put a disposable liner in your slow cooker, and add the meat.
  • 5. To the fry pan that you browned your meat in, add the beer and simmer for a few minutes to get all the little crunchie things. That's where the love is. Pour this over meat.
  • 6. Cut carrots an potatoes into chunks, put in pot. Put onions in pot.
  • 7. Sprinkle the beef stew seasoning packet over.
  • 8. Pour gravy over, and give a stir.
  • 9. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours
  • 10. Half hour before you are ready to eat, add peas, cover and continue to cook. At serving time give a stir.
