This is my mom's recipe. Let's just say, you'll never look at peas the same way again...they are sooo good.

Steps:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion; cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add frozen peas, and stir in stock. Season with salt and pepper. Cover, and cook until the peas are tender, about 5 minutes.

- Melt butter in heavy large saucepan over medium-low heat. Add garlic and sauté until very fragrant, about 3 minutes. Add peas and broth. Increase heat to medium-high and cook until peas are tender, about 4 minutes. Mix in parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve.

- Sauté bacon in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat until brown and crisp. Using slotted spoon, transfer bacon to paper towels and drain. Discard all but 2 tablespoons drippings from skillet. Add garlic to skillet; sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add peas and butter to skillet. Saut until heated through, about 5 minutes. Mix in bacon; season with salt and pepper. Transfer to dish; sprinkle with parsley.
