3 tablespoons real butter
1 (6 cup) package mini marshmallows
1/2 cup peanut butter
5 cups Honey Nut Cheerios (toasted oat cereal)

Steps:

  • Grease 13x9 inch pan.
  • Place butter in a BIG microwaveable safe bowl.
  • Add marshmallows and peanut butter.
  • Heat on high power for 2 minutes.
  • Stir until marshmallows are melted and smooth.
  • Pour in cereal.
  • Stir until well mixed.
  • Press mixture into prepared pan.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Cut into 12 big bars.
  • These won't last long, I promise!

My grandma made these for years and came up with the recipe. I thought everyone made these but found out it was my grandma's recipe. They are SOOOOOOO goood!

2/3 cup Karo syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 1/2 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal

Steps:

  • Mix Karo syrup and brown sugar together in heavy pan and cook just till it bubbles around edges.
  • Take off heat and add pb and stir good. Add cheerios and stir good.
  • Put in buttered 9x13 pan and press down real hard and even so they won't fall apart when you cut them. You can put in fridge to harden quickly or just let sit on the counter to cool.
