2 lemons , juice only
2 limes , juice only
1 lemon , thinly sliced
1 lime , thinly sliced
peach nectar
cloudy lemonade
a few sliced strawberry
sparkling water
mint sprigs

Steps:

  • Put the lemon juice and lime juice into a large jug. Add the sliced lemon and lime, and a handful of ice cubes. Add peach nectar to fill about one-third of the jug and top up to fill with lemonade.
  • Add the strawberries and top up with sparkling water and mint sprigs.

Three 12-ounce bottles chilled beer, light or mild, such as Modelo Especial (not dark beer)
3 cups (24 ounces) chilled peach nectar, such as bottled R.W. Knudsen brand or canned peach nectar
2 fresh peaches, pitted and cut into wedges or 5-ounces frozen peach slices, thawed
3/4 cup Ginger Simple Syrup, recipe follows
1/2 cup sugar
One 4-inch piece fresh ginger, cut into 1/4-inch pieces

Steps:

  • Combine the beer, peach nectar, peaches and syrup in a large pitcher; stir to blend. Serve immediately.
  • Place 1/2 cup water, the sugar and ginger in a small saucepan. Bring the syrup to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Let the syrup cool completely, about 20 minutes. Strain before using.

2 cups sugar
4 cups chopped peeled fresh peaches or 1 pound frozen unsweetened sliced peaches
1 package (3/4 ounce) fresh basil leaves
2 cups cold water
1-1/2 cups fresh lemon juice
Additional cold water
Ice cubes
Club soda or champagne
Additional fresh basil leaves

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine sugar, peaches, basil and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Remove from heat; let stand 30 minutes. Discard basil; stir in lemon juice. Refrigerate until cooled completely., Place peach mixture in a blender; cover and process until blended. Strain into a pitcher; add additional cold water to reach desired consistency. To serve, fill glasses with ice. Pour peach mixture halfway up glass; top with club soda or, if desired, champagne. Serve with additional basil.

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
4 firm ripe freestone peaches, halved and pitted

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar and 2 cups water. Bring to a simmer, and cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar has dissolved. Add lemon juice and peaches. Simmer until peaches are tender when pierced with the tip of a knife, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and let stand until room temperature. Carefully remove skins from peaches, and discard. Transfer to a bowl, and refrigerate in poaching liquid until chilled.

3 1 inch slices fresh ginger
1 c sugar

  • 1. In a pitcher combine beer first then rest of ingredients and stir well. Serve in cold glass along with more frozen fruit or ice.
  • 2. GINGER SIMPLE SYRUP Place sugar water and ginger in sauce pan bring to boil stir till sugar dissolved about 5 min. Take off heat and cool for 20min or longer.
  • 3. GINGER MANGO-PEACH ICED TEA Make 2 quarts mango-peach iced tea by crystal lite. Place frozen fruit in glass add few drops of simple syrup, Pour tea over. Add straw stir and enjoy!!

  • Equipment: Blender Preparation: Do ahead: Purée entire can of tropical fruit salad in blender. Transfer purée to a separate bowl/pitcher. Rinse blender bowl and return to base.
