Serve this delicious and "Oh So Spicy" shrimp dish with baguettes of hot French bread, generous napkins and a bowl for the shrimp shells. Truly a feast to enjoy and finger licking good. This came from a newspaper probably 15 years ago!

1/2 lb butter, melted
1/2 lb margarine, melted
3 -4 fluid ounces Worcestershire sauce (3/8 to 1/2 cup)
4 tablespoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground rosemary
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
2 teaspoons salt (sea salt, is best)
3 minced garlic cloves
4 lemons, 2 juiced and 2 sliced
5 -6 lbs raw shrimp, in their shells

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a bowl, mix all the ingredients, except the lemon slices and the shrimp.
  • Pour about 1/2 cup sauce to cover the bottom of a large baking dish and then arrange layer of shrimp and lemon slices until you come almost to the top of the dish.
  • Leave about 1" of headroom.
  • Pour the remaining sauce over the shrimp and lemon slices.
  • Bake uncovered, stirring once or twice until the shrimp are cooked throughout, about 15 to 20 minutes.

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup ground black pepper
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce (or use 4 teaspoons Franks' Hot Sauce)
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons salt
5 lbs unpeeled medium shrimp
2 lemons, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Stir together the butter, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, black pepper, hot sauce, garlic and salt.
  • Pour half of mixture into a large baking dish or pan.
  • Layer half the shrimp over the sauce and top shrimp with half the lemon slices.
  • Form another layer with remaining shrimp and lemon slices and pour remaining sauce over the top.
  • Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes, stirring mixture twice, until shrimp are pink.
  • Pour off sauce into individual serving dishes. Serve with shrimp and plenty of bread for sopping up the spicy butter sauce.

2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons butter
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
12 ounces linguine
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1/2 cup chicken broth
hot sauce, a couple dashes
1/2 cup chopped scallion, plus extra for garnish
grated parmesan cheese, for serving

Steps:

  • In a large, deep skillet, heat the oil and 2 tablespoons of the butter over med-high heat.
  • Dust the shrimp evenly with the Cajun seasoning and add them to the pan.
  • Cook the shrimp, turning once, until they are just opaque and cooked through, about 3 minutes.
  • Transfer the shrimp to a plate.
  • In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to the package directions; drain well.
  • Meanwhile, as the pasta cooks, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter in the pan.
  • Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Add the broth and hot sauce.
  • Bring to a simmer and stir up any browned bits from the pan.
  • Turn off the heat and return the shrimp to the pan.

Whenever I make this for friends I usually triple the recipe, everyone fights over the last shrimp lol! Serve this with a long crusty baguette and lemon wedges. Plan ahead the shrimp needs to marinate for 1 hour. recipe#186029 works great for this!

1 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons creole seasoning (try The Best Creole/Cajun Seasoning Mix for this)
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
salt (use only if you Cajun seasoning does not have salt in it)
2 lbs large raw shrimp, shelled and deveined

Steps:

  • Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl combine the oil, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, parsley, honey and soy sauce.

This was so simple and tasty with just the right amount of heat. I served it with a pre-packaged Cajun style rice but it would be great with white rice also.

1 sprig fresh rosemary (rinsed)
1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
3 tablespoons butter
5 fresh garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons louisiana-style seasoning
1/2 cup white wine
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce (or to taste)
1 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Chop rosemary finely, using only leaves & set aside.
  • Peel & devein shrimp (or cheat like I do and buy it like that already).
  • Preheat a large saute pan on medium-high heat and place butter in pan.
  • Crush garlic using a garlic press into the saute pan & cook two minutes, until golden in color.
  • Sprinkle the Louisiana-style seasoning over shrimp.
  • Add shrimp to pan and cook 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove shrimp from and cover to keep warm.
  • Add remaining ingredients, including rosemary to pan and cook 2-3 minutes until liquid is reduced by half.
  • Serve sauce over shrimp.
