LINDA'S SEAFOOD PASTA SALAD
I love the flavors in this pasta salad with the addition of the lemon, shrimp and Old Bay Seasoning! I often substitute whole wheat pasta in this dish... I also double the mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning and lemon, adding half when I initially make it, then just before serving I add some more, so it isn't dry after sitting in the fridge for flavors to meld... Sometimes I just double up on the shrimp or the crabmeat instead of using both together... Either way, this recipe is a KEEPER for sure!

PASTA SEAFOOD SALAD
This recipe is adapted from a Silver Palate cookbook; the main difference is that I took out the squid rings! I've been making it for 20 years. It's a delicious spring or summer dinner, and is a pretty company dish. Serve with a lettuce & tomato salad, and a loaf of crusty bread - sublime! It's easy to make, and is quick unless you have to shell the shrimp. You can use any type of pasta, but the small shells are best because when the salad gets mixed together, the peas nestle into the shells and look very cute!

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil, drop in the shrimp and scallops, cook for one minute, and drain immediately.
- Bring another large pot of salted water to boil. Cook the pasta as directed on the package, until tender but not mushy. Drain.
- Toss the cooked pasta and seafood in a large bowl (make sure they are both well drained).
- Add the peas (no need to cook them), red pepper, and onion, and toss.
- Place dressing ingredients (olive oil, basil leaves, lemon juice, salt, and pepper) in a food processor bowl fitted with a metal blade. Process until basil is very fine. Pour over the pasta/seafood mixture and mix well. Taste and add salt, pepper, and/or lemon juice as necessary.
- Place the salad in a serving bowl or mound it on a platter. Scatter with greek olives.
- Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate. Salad tastes better when at room temperature, so if refrigerating until later, be sure to take it out of the fridge for 30 minutes before serving.

SEAFOOD PASTA SALAD WITH CREAMY STRAWBERRY DRESSING
This is a Recipezaar contest creation designed to be a kid-pleasing salad. It makes a salad large enough for a crowd, so it's great for picnics, potlucks and summertime parties. And it is packed with lots of fresh kid-pleasing ingredients including a fun seashell-shaped pasta with shrimp and crab flakes dressed lightly in a sweet, creamy strawberry dressing. Take advantage of the summer fruit offerings by garnishing the top of this salad with fresh, sweet strawberry halves, which is sure to appeal to all the kids in your household. The gouda cheese offers a nice smoky element against the zesty onion bits, and the walnuts provide a bit of texture.

CRAB/SEAFOOD PASTA SALAD
This is my original recipe for a delicious seafood salad that is versatile. It can be made with fresh lump crabmeat, canned crab, or imitation. You may use fresh, cooked shrimp or frozen. You may combine crab and shrimp or lobster, if you prefer. Each way, it is a real winner! I love it, so much, that I've been known to eat it...

SEAFOOD SALAD WITH NO PASTA
Sometimes, I don't want noodles with my seafood. Sometimes I want different kinds of seafood. Obviously, you can adapt any recipe, but this combination works very well for our taste. Sometimes I'll use a 4 oz. can of tuna (drained) instead of the lobster if I'm broke.

Yep! Another seafood salad. This one is from "KCTS Cooks-Favorite Recipes" cookbook. Sent in by Carol out of Seattle. She says this is one of her favorite pasta salads. She has brought this salad to lots of potlucks and it has always been a great hit! I haven't tried it yet so if you do, please let me know how it turns out. :)

Steps:
- Place 10 quarts of water in a large stockpot and bring to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and bring the water back to a boil (this will take about 5 minutes). Cook the pasta until done to your liking, but take care not to undercook it. Drain in a colander and cool under a spray of cold water. Drain again and toss in a container with 2 tablespoons of the olive oil. Cover and refrigerate.
- Wash the mussels carefully under cool water and place them in a large pot with the wine. Cover, bring to a boil and cook, covered, for 5 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally, until all the mussels have opened. Drain, reserving the cooking juices (about 1 1/2 cups) in a bowl. When cool enough to handle, shell the mussels, removing and discarding any beards. Set the mussels aside. Return the cooking juices to the saucepan, pouring them in slowly to avoid adding any sandy residue from the bottom of the bowl.
- Wash the scallops and cut them into 1/2-inch pieces. Cut each of the shrimp into 3 pieces. Add the scallops and shrimp to the saucepan containing the mussel cooking juices and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and drain, again reserving the juices.
- In a large bowl, combine the scallops, shrimp and mussels. Set aside.
- For the herb sauce, place 1 cup of the reserved cooking juices and the herbs in the bowl of a food processor and process until pureed. Add the mustard, vinegar, mayonnaise or egg yolks, Tabasco and salt. Process until well mixed. With the machine running, add the remaining 2 cups of olive oil. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of shellfish cooking juices (adjust with water if necessary). The pasta, shellfish and sauce can all be prepared a day ahead and refrigerated until ready to assemble.
- Combine the pasta, shellfish and herb sauce. Mix well. To serve, arrange on large platters or in bowls for serving as part of a buffet.

BEST SEAFOOD PASTA SALAD
I came up with this recipe about 15 years ago, I make it for potlucks and such and its always cleaned up quick. takes a bit of time for chopping and such but is worth every bit of it. This makes a large batch, but can be cut in half for smaller appetites. Tastes even better when made a day ahead.

ITALIAN CRAB SEAFOOD PASTA SALAD
I had a very similar salad in Little Italy near the Baltimore Harbor. It was fabulous! This is the closest I have come to it. This is pretty darn good too! A wonderful summertime salad! Serve as an appetizer salad, a side salad, light lunch or for brunch. It makes a very nice presentation and will be sure to impress guests. :) P.S. Do not substitute canned crabmeat or imitation it will not taste the same!

CREAMY SEAFOOD PASTA SALAD
"Salad Envy": That's what they'll have when you show up at the next potluck with this creamy, colourful and delicious offering. You can tell them it's low in calories too, but they probably won't believe you. Substitute the shrimp with salmon, tuna or lobster for a different taste experience. Note: After several hours of chilling, the pasta will absorb some of the dressing. To return it to a creamier consistency, simply add one or two tablespoons of salad dressing. Cooking time does not include time for refrigeration. Created for the Craze-E Salad Contest.

Great cold meal for summer, or to bring to a get together. Low fat, and DELICIOUS! This is a recipe I've found different variations of in a couple of magazines.
