Yield 1 loaf (1-1/2 pounds, 16 slices).

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup water (70° to 80°)
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
3 cups bread flour
1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast

Steps:

  • In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available. Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons water or flour if needed).

On cool rainy days that tend to keep one inside the house, we love to back bread in our bread machine. This one is a favorite tried and true in my household. Hope you enjoy!

1 c water - (70-80 degrees)
2 Tbsp of butter or margerine, softened
1/3 c finely chopped onion
1 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
3 c bread flour (i usually use all purpose flour)
1 pkg active dry yeast (1/4 oz)

Steps:

  • 1. In bread macine, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer.
  • 2. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available.
  • 3. Bake according to bread machine directions. (Check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed.)
