- Spread cream cheese on the bottom of a microwave-safe dish. Spread a layer of chili over the cream cheese. Finish with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Microwave for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts. Serve with spicy nacho tortilla chips.

I've had this recipe for a long time. It's great for parties and football get-togethers. With just three ingredients, it's very easy to prepare. Serve it hot with your favorite corn chips.

- In a medium, microwave safe bowl, mix cream cheese, chili without beans and diced tomatoes with green chile peppers.
- Microwave cream cheese mixture on high 1 minute. Remove from microwave, stir and repeat until the mixture is hot and thoroughly blended.

- Brown& crumble sausage in large skillet.
- Add onion and cook till tender and sausage is no longer pink, carefully drain off excess drippings.
- Blend seasonings and green peppers into sausage mixture.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer over medium to low heat for 20 to 25 minutes.

- Microwave cream cheese for 1 minute in 12" x 12" pyrex dish or glass pie dish.
- Remove and spread cream cheese to cover bottom of dish.
- Next pour the hormel chili on top of the cream cheese.
- Lastly, layer with the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Microwave for 3 minutes or until cheese has melted.
- Serve with nacho chips or scoop frito's.

OWEN'S CHILI DIP
A late friend of mine brought this to a party, and I demanded the recipe. Yum!

Steps:
- Mix chili and cream cheese in a casserole dish, and top with grated cheddar.
- Bake in the oven at 350 degrees about 35 min., or microwave until hot and cheese is melted - although the microwave makes the cheddar greasier. If you use the oven, bake until top begins to brown.
- Serve with Fritos ™ Scoops while hot. Goes like wildfire at a party.
EASY BAKED LAYERED CHILI CHEESE DIP
The complete dip can be prepared and refrigerated until ready to bake. The jalapeno is only optional, I like to add it into the cream cheese. The success of this dip will depend on the quality of chili you use so make certain to use a good-quality canned chili or use homemade, for extra heat use extra spricy chili.

- Set oven to 350 degrees (set oven rack to bottom position).
- Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
- Mix both packages cream cheese with jalapeno pepper (if using) then spread on the bottom of the pie plate.
- Spread the chili over the cream cheese, then sprinkle green onions, then green chilies.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until hot (if you are baking this cold out of the fridge the baking time will be longer).
- Sprinkle the grated cheese on top then return to oven for about 5 minutes to melt cheese.
