FRESH MINT ICED COFFEE
Steps:
- Muddle the mint leaves in a large glass. Fill it with ice. Pour in the coffee, heavy cream and Simple Syrup, and give it a little swirl. Enjoy!
- In a small saucepan, whisk together the sugar and water and bring to boil, stirring often. Remove from the heat and let it cool. Transfer to a container and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

- Place water and mint in a 6-qt. slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours or until heated through. Strain tea; discard mint., Whisk in sugar until dissolved. Cut orange crosswise in half; squeeze juice from orange. Stir in juice and orange blossom water. Transfer to a pitcher. Refrigerate until cold, 4-6 hours. Serve over ice with orange slices and additional mint if desired.

This is a wonderful Southern nonalcoholic drink. The recipe comes from Angeles Parlange's mother, who likes to serve it as an alternative to a mint julep.

Steps:
- Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stir until sugar dissolves. Turn off heat.
- Crush mint leaves in a large bowl with mallet or spoon. Add to saucepan. Add lemon juice, orange juice, lemon zest, and orange zest to saucepan. Stir to combine.
- Pass mixture through fine strainer, discard solids. Fill glasses with crushed ice and 3/4 full with strained mixture. Top with seltzer to cut sweetness (optional).
