- On a small plate, mix together ¼ cup (50 G) sugar and the orange zest with a fork until well distributed.
- Rub the rims of 4 martini glasses with the orange wedge and dip into the sugar mixture to coat. Set aside.
- Add the ice, orange juice, vodka, remaining ¼ cup (50 G) sugar, the milk, and vanilla to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Divide the orange julius between the martini glasses, garnish each with an orange wheel, and serve.
- Enjoy!

Well, I can't tell you HOW I got the "secret ingredient", but it's one of those things where you kind of say to yourself, "Now why didn't I think of that"? Coffee creamer! The powdered kind. That's it--simple I know! I grew up on these things--a must have at the mall--and trying to make them at home just wasn't quite right....try this. You may need to fiddle with the amounts some. When I make this recipe the blender is topped off - about 1/2 inch from the rim, but I don't really measure anything when I make it--i just throw stuff in until it tastes right.

You can use less ice if you want a more juice like consistency. The more ice you add the more smoothie-like your beverage will become. - 1. Combine all of the ingredients (except for the ice cubes) into a blender. Blend on high for 15-30 seconds, or until the sugar is dissolved.
- 2. Add the ice cubes, and blend on high until the consistency of your average icy, making sure there are ice bits remaining (but not chunks of ice).
- 3. This makes: 1 large serving (or 2 small servings).
