1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c butter
1 egg
3 Tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. Cream butter; add sugar and well beaten egg. Add salt and flavoring. Sift flour and baking powder. Add slowly to mixture, alternating with milk until mixed. Roll 1/8 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.

1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups xylitol sugar substitute
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1 1/2 eggs or 1 1/2 egg substitute
1/2 cup whipping cream

Steps:

  • Beat butter until soft. Gradually add the xylitol and beat well.
  • Add the eggs and baking soda and flavoring.
  • Gradually add flour and cream alternating. Beat until smooth.
  • Refrigerate over night.
  • Cut into 3 1/2 inch circles. Place on cookie sheet. Roll dough into 1/4 inch. Bake for 11-15 minutes or until lightly colored or darker your preference.

This cookie recipe was handed down to me by my mother and they are the bomb! Never have shared this recipe, but i enjoy this site so much and so I wanted to share such a great and yummy recipe!

1 c crisco
1 c sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt
2 c flour
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp soda
1 capful vanilla
Icing powdered sugar
milk

Steps:

  • 1. Beat together Crisco, sugar, egg, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Add 2 cups flour, cream of tartar, soda and capful of vanilla. Roll dough out on a floured surface with rolling pin that has been floured and not to thick as they rise big and use your favorite cookie cutter. Bake at 350 until a light golden brown. Icing: After cookies cool, ice with a mixture that as been mixed real well of powdered sugar and enough milk to make it spreadable on cookie, but not to thick. And ice and let set till icing has hardened and not sticky.
