You can make this with plain cheerios or honey nut. My mom wants to try making it with chocolate cheerios.

Steps:
- 1. In a large saucepan, heat brown sugar, syrup and butter until sugar disolves.
- 2. Stir in cereal and nuts and mix well.
- 3. Spread into a greased 15x10x1 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and stir to loosen from the pan.
- 4. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.

- 1. Heat oven to 325. Butter a 15 x 10 x 1 pan.
- 2. Heat sugar, syrup, butter and salt in a 3 qt. saucepan until sugar dissolves.
- 3. Remove from heat and stir in the cereal and the nuts until well coated.
- 4. Spread in pan and bake 15 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and then loosen with a spatula.
