Here's what you need: puff pastry, flour, cream cheese, chocolate hazelnut spread, egg, water, powdered sugar, chocolate sauce

1 puff pastry, thawed
flour, to dust
¼ cup cream cheese
⅔ cup chocolate hazelnut spread
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
powdered sugar, to taste
1 cup chocolate sauce, or melted nutella, to taste

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese and Nutella. Set aside.
  • Roll out puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Divide into 9 equal squares.
  • Scoop 1 Tbsp. of Nutella filling onto the corner of each puff pastry square. Leave enough space for the edges to be crimped shut. Fold the square to form a triangle, crimp the edges shut.
  • Set the turnovers on a lightly greased cookie pan.
  • Prepare the egg wash by beating together one egg and 1 Tbsp. water. Brush the top of each turnover with the egg wash.
  • Bake for 350˚F (175˚C ) for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
  • Garnish by dusting powdered sugar and drizzling with melted Nutella or chocolate syrup.

2 sheets puff pastry
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup nutella
EGG WASH:
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. water
GARNISH:
powdered sugar
extra nutella

Steps:

  • 1. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350-f degrees. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and Nutella. Mix with a handheld mixer for 1 minute, until thoroughly combined. 3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface into a 12" by 12" square. Trim the uneven edges so you have a nice edge all around the puff pastry. Using a pizza cutter, cut each sheet into 6 equal squares. 4. Using a spoon or a small scoop, drop 1 Tbsp. of chocolate filling into the corner of each square of puff pastry. Make sure to leave enough space along the edges so they can be crimped shut. Fold the puff pastry dough over to form triangles. Lightly dab two of the four edges of each turnover with water before crimping them shut. Transfer the turnovers to the parchment lined baking sheets. 5. Prepare the egg wash by beating together one egg and 1 Tbsp. water. Brush each turnover with the egg wash. 6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool. 7. To garnish: Dust with powdered sugar. In a small bowl, warm Nutella in the microwave. Pour into a small Ziploc baggie and snip off a tiny corner. Drizzle each turnover with warm Nutella. Enjoy!

1 sheet(s) puff pastry, thawed
1/4 cup(s) cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup(s) nutella, divided
2 tablespoon(s) flour, for dipping fork to crimp turnover edges
1 - egg
1 tablespoon(s) water
2 tablespoon(s) powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On silicone baking mat, or floured surface, roll out puff pastry into a 12x12 inch square. Cut into 9 equal square shapes. In bowl, whisk together cream cheese and ½ cup of Nutella until smooth and evenly mixed.
  • Drop 1 Tbsp of cream cheese/Nutella mixture into the corner of puff pastry. Leave a small edge on the puff pastry so when you fold the squares over the edges can be crimped together. Fold opposite side of the square over the Nutella/cream cheese mixture. Using a fork dipped in flour press the edges of the turnovers with the tines of the fork to seal the edges together.
  • Place the turnovers onto a baking sheet lined with parchment or a silicone baking sheet. In small dish, whisk together egg and water to make an egg wash. Brush each turnover with the egg wash. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and drizzle with additional warmed Nutella. Serve warm.
