This attractive layered dip for tortilla chips is filled with fresh ingredients. The addition of cocktail sauce is a nice, spicy twist.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup cocktail sauce
1 cup mild salsa
¾ cup diced green onion
¾ cup diced red bell pepper
¾ cup diced green bell pepper
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cucumber, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • In a blender or food processor, thoroughly mix cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a medium serving dish.
  • In individual layers, top the mixture with cocktail sauce, mild salsa, diced green onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, shredded Cheddar cheese and shredded lettuce.
  • Arrange cucumber slices around the edge of the serving dish. Chill in the refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving.

2 pounds ground beef
2 pounds process cheese Velveeta, cubed
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes, cut up
2 cans (4 ounces each) chopped green chiles
3 teaspoons chili powder
3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Tortilla chips

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the cheese, tomatoes, chiles, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce. , Cook, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally. Serve warm, with chips.

This is almost a whole meal. I have made it for Grey Cup parties, little kids, & Teenagers. It is very popular with my Family. You can add a layer of sliced olives if you wish. Some people don't like them so I omit them. Takes very little time & effort if you do your shredding in the food processor.

8 ounces cottage cheese
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 ounces salsa
4 -5 green onions, sliced fine
2 large tomatoes, diced
2 cups of shredded iceberg lettuce
1 1/2 cups monterey jack cheese or 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
tortilla chips

Steps:

  • Blend cottage cheese & Creeam Cheese (food processor).
  • Spread in a shallow pan I use a 10" pyrex pie plate.
  • Spread Salsa over cheese.
  • Sprinkle with Green onions.
  • Sprinkle with Diced tomato.
  • Spread Shredded Lettuce over (shred in the Food Processor).
  • Top with grated cheese.
  • Scoop with sturdy style Tortilla Chips.

1/4 pound bulk spicy pork or Mexican-style sausage
2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 pound American cheese, cubed
3/4 cup salsa
Tortilla chips or raw vegetables

Steps:

  • In a 1-1/2-qt. microwave-safe container, cook sausage, green pepper and onion on high for 1-2 minutes or until sausage is fully cooked; drain. Add the cheese and salsa. Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (250 g) package cream cheese, softened
125 ml (1/2 cup) sour cream
50 ml (1/4 cup) Miracle Whip
1 jar of your favourite salsa
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (i do not always use both,sometimes just cheddar)
1 green pepper, chopped
3 green onions, chopped
1 tomatoes, diced

Steps:

  • Blend first three ingredients together.
  • Spread over 12 inch pizza pan or other large plate or platter.
  • Chill for one hour (if you have time, if not don't worry about it).
  • Add salsa sauce over top.
  • Alternate cheese,green peppers, onions, tomatoes.
  • Cover& chill.
  • Serve with Nacho chips for dipping.
  • Regular or bite sized.
  • Very addictive!
