One 12-ounce bag fresh cranberries, frozen for a few hours before processing
1 navel orange, skin on, cut into chunks, seeds and excess white pith removed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup honey

Steps:

  • Place the frozen cranberries, orange, granulated sugar and honey in a food processor. Process until the mixture is evenly chopped. Store in the refrigerator until needed. Serve as a condiment for roasted turkey.

12 ounces fresh cranberries
1 orange (, with the peel ON)
1 cup granulated sugar

Steps:

  • Slice the very edge root ends off of the orange, just until you see the flesh. Leave the rest of the skin ON the orange and slice it into 8 pieces.
  • Place the fresh cranberries, orange slices and sugar in your food processor and process until smooth (or until no large chunks remain).
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve (it tastes best after being in the fridge for at least on hour) or for up to 1 week. Serve over turkey, chicken, pork loin etc.

1 cup sugar substitute (recommended: Splenda)
1 cup water
12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
1 teaspoon orange zest

Steps:

  • Combine sugar substitute and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Add cranberries and orange zest and bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat, cool, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

4 cups (about 1 16-ounce bag) fresh or completely thawed frozen cranberries
1 cup fresh pineapple, roughly chopped
3 oranges, sectioned (supremed) and chopped, plus their juices
⅓ cup sugar
1 teaspoon minced peeled fresh ginger
¼ cup minced red onion
¼ cup chopped fresh mint leaves

Steps:

  • In the bowl of a food processor, pulse the cranberries and pineapple until roughly chopped. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover and chill up to 24 hours before serving.

1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
2 navel oranges, peel and white pitch completely removed
⅔ cup chopped walnuts
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon orange-flavored liqueur (such as Cointreau®)

Steps:

  • Finely chop about half the cranberries with 1 orange in a food processor; scrape into a glass mixing bowl. Repeat process with remaining cranberries and orange.
  • Finely chop walnuts in the food processor; add to cranberry mixture. Stir sugar and orange-flavored liqueur through the cranberry mixture.
  • Cover bowl with plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 4 hours to overnight.

My brother made this for Thanksgiving, and it is a delicious unique combination. Delicious on leftover turkey or roastbeef sandwiches. The recipe is recited evey year on NPR by Susan Stamberg at Thanksgiving.

2 cups raw cranberries
1 small onion
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons horseradish

Steps:

  • Grind the cranberries and onion together.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix.
  • Put in a plastic container and freeze.
  • An hour before serving, move the container from the freezer to the refrigerator compartment to thaw.
  • The relish will be thick, creamy, and shocking pink.
