70'S MOCK OYSTER DIP
My parents would always have a party on Christmas eve at our house and invite all of our family. My mom would make all those 70's appetizers, but this was one of my favorites. It tastes just like oysters but there are none in it....its amazing.

Steps:
- 1. Sauté celery, onion, and mushrooms in butter for five minutes on medium heat.
- 2. Lower heat and add remaining ingredients. Simmer gently, stirring until mixture is smooth.
- 3. Serving Suggestions: Serve as a hot dip with butter crackers. Fill miniature pastry/patty shells with mixture and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.

- Add mushrooms, soup and Tabasco sauce, salt & pepper to taste. Mix well.
- Add cooked broccoli and cheese. Mix well.
- Cook for about 5 minutes over low heat.
- Serve in chafing dish with Ritz Crackers.

- 1. saute the onion in the butter,then place in a large saucepan,butter and all.place all the ingrediants in the saucepan,and heat,until the cheese melts,stir often,use a low heat.then serve.with crackers,i keep mine in a small crockpot to keep it warm,its better that way.tastes like oysters,but,its not.

- Cook broccoli in water till soft (over-done); drain. Sauté onion in butter; add cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms and juice. Break up garlic cheese and add to mixture. Add hot sauce and broccoli. Mix well. Keep warm in chafing dish; eat with dipper potato chips. Can also be served in patty shells or over noodles as a casserole.
