RED WINE SANGRIA



Red Wine Sangria image

Sangria is one of the few drinks I remember my father preparing at home, he made the Natural Sangria using grenadine syrup.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups of ice cubes
4 tbsp. of natural syrup (recipe below)
2 tbsp. of lime juice
1 cup of Mineral water or club soda
1 cup of orange juice
2 cups of red wine
8 Orange slices (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Divided the ice cubes into four glasses.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of syrup and ½ tablespoon of lime juice to each glass.
  • Slowly pour ¼ cup of the mineral water and then ¼ cup of the orange juice into each glass. Do not mix.
  • Finally, gently add ½ cup of red wine to every single glass. Garnish with the orange slices. Enjoy!

2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
4 cups fruity red wine
1 1/2 cups orange juice
1 cup fresh lime juice
3/4 cup tequila
1/4 cup triple sec
1 -2 cup sparkling water
orange slice
lemon slice
lime slice

Steps:

  • boil the sugar and water together in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves and the liquid is clear. set the syrup aside to cool.
  • in a large pitcher or punch bowl, mix together the sugar syrup, wine, juices, and liquors.
  • just before serving time, stir in the sparkling water. add the fruit slices and a lot of ice either to the sangria or to the individual glasses or cups.
  • serve chilled.
