1 lb hamburger, the higher the fat the better
4 green onions, sliced
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
2 garlic cloves, minced (I prefer grating mine.)
1/4 cup monterey jack cheese
4 slices monterey jack pepper cheese

Steps:

  • Mix ingredients, from hamburger to Monterey Jack, in a bowl.
  • Shape into four patties.
  • Grill for six minutes.
  • Flip and grill for another six.
  • Add pepperjack cheese.
  • Cook until melty and gooey.
  • Serve on bun with your favorite toppings.

My entire family loved this. I was just playing around in my kitchen and wanted to see if I could make a lighter burger my fussy eaters would like.

1 lb ground turkey
1 egg
2 Tbsp italian bread crumbs
1 1/2 c mexican blend shredded cheese
2 Tbsp parmesan cheese
1 can(s) (small) roasted green chilies, diced
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Mix well all ingredients. Form into patties
  • 2. Spray Extra Virgin Olive Oil, onto grill (remember you are working with turkey so be sure to coat grill so the turkey will not stick)
  • 3. Cook till desired done-ness (We like Well Done) and enjoy
