MERRY MULLED CIDER
When our children were younger, I always made warm cider for Christmas Eve. This herbal version was a favorite. The kids are grown, but my husband and I still enjoy a mug or two during the cold winter months. -Sue Gronholz, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin

- In a Dutch oven, bring the apple cider, cranberry juice, brown sugar, cinnamon and rosemary to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until flavors are blended., Discard cinnamon and rosemary; stir in orange juice. Serve warm.

Steps:
- Place the cider in a large pot.
- Place the cloves and allspice in a cheesecloth spice bag.
- Add the spice bag, sugar and salt to the cider and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove spice bag.
- Pour Mulled Cider into 12 mugs, adding one cinnamon stick and one slice lemon to each.
- Serve hot.
