- In a large bowl, whisk egg and milk. Stir in the cheese, oats, onion and salt. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 8 loaves; place in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard; spoon over loaves. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until no pink remains and a thermometer reads 160°.

my family loves this meatloaf we tried many over the years.but this is their favorite.i found it in a tennessee magazine a few years ago.

Steps:
- 1. combine beef,oatmeal,milk,and eggs,and mix well.add onion and green pepper,to above mixture along with salt and pepper.shape in loaf bake in preheated oven at 300 degrees for 1 and 1/2 hours.
- 2. sauce..1 cup ketchup,2 tablespoons vinegar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon yellow mustard,combine all 4 ingredients cook over med,heat till thickened.put on top of cooked meatloaf.cook about 10 min.more. enjoy.
AMISH MEATLOAF
A recipe for Amish meatloaf topped with bacon strips and a ketchup glaze that I had while in Amish country in Holmes County, Ohio.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together ground beef, crushed crackers, onion, eggs, 3/4 cup ketchup, and 1/4 cup brown sugar until well blended. Press into a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Lay the two slices of bacon over the top.
- Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until cooked through. While the loaf bakes, mix together the remaining 1 cup ketchup, vinegar, salt, mustard and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Spread over the top of the meat loaf for the last 15 minutes of baking.
