SPRITZ COOKIES
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- With a mixer on medium speed, cream butter, powdered sugar, and salt until fluffy. Mix in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Add flour a little bit at a time beating after each addition.
- Place dough into a cookie press. Squeeze cookies about 1 ½" apart and add sprinkles if desired.
- Bake 7-9 minutes.

MELT IN YOUR MOUTH SPRITZ
Spritz are a Christmas staple in my family. We have tried lots of different recipes and this is a modified recipe from our top 3 favorites.

- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Mix dry ingredients and set aside.
- Cream butter, mix in powdered sugar.
- Add egg yolks, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a cookie press and decorate with colored sugar. Bake for 5 minutes and allow to cool for 2-3 on the sheet before transferring to wax paper or wire rack. I usually use two baking sheets so the one I am using isn't too warm or it will start to melt the dough and you'll have trouble with the press.

- In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk and extracts. Combine the flour, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours or until easy to handle., On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut with a floured 2-1/2-in. cookie cutter. Place 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Cool for 2 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. Decorate as desired.

This is my mothers recipe and what I use in my Cookie Press/Shooter. It makes delectable little morsels!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, cream together butter, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla until smooth with electric mixer. Stir in flour and cornstarch. Pop dough into your cookie press, and away you go! Press cookies out onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the peaks are golden.
