1 (30 ounce) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream with chives
1 (10 ounce) can condensed cream of potato soup
1 (10 ounce) milk, measure in soup can
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
24 precooked frozen meatballs, I use the ones from Sam's

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In large 13x9" glass baking dish, combine potatoes, sour cream, soup, milk, and 1-1/2 cups cheese; mix until combined and well blended. Top with frozen meatballs, slightly pressing them half way.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  • Uncover casserole and bake for 25-35 minutes longer until casserole is bubbly and meatballs are crisp on top.
  • Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake for 5-10 minutes longer, until cheese is melted.

I have served this dish many times and always get rave reviews. The original recipe called for cooking, peeling and shredding russet potatoes. I decided to make it easier by substituting frozen hashbrowns!

32 ounces hash brown potatoes, shredded and thawed
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
4 medium garlic cloves, minced
4 teaspoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat overn to 350. Placed shredded hashbrowns in large bowl and set aside.
  • Bring cream and broth to simmer in small saucepan. Remove pan from heat and stir in garlic, butter, and Parmesan.
  • Pour cream mixture into bowl with potatoes and stir to combine. Stir in salt and pepper.
  • Scrape potato mixture into 2-qt. baking dish and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover and continue to bake until top is nicely browned, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

8 ounces sour cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 (32 ounce) package frozen shredded hash browns
2 (14 ounce) cans condensed cream of potato soup
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl except the parmesan cheese.
  • Spread into greased 9 X 13 casserole dish.
  • Top with parmesan cheese.
  • Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes or until golden brown on top.

2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (30 ounce) package frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
2 cups corn flakes cereal
¼ cup salted butter, melted
1 pinch salt to taste

Steps:

  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Mix sour cream, Cheddar cheese, and condensed soup together in a very large bowl. Fold in hash browns and mix thoroughly. Put mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  • Toss corn flakes in butter to coat. Spread mixture on top of hash brown mixture. Cover and keep in the refrigerator for 8 hours, to overnight.

3 tablespoons canola oil
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef
1 cup water
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

1 can (2.8 ounces) french-fried onions, divided
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, oil and pepper. Press into a greased 8-in. square baking dish.
