I love beer and tomato juice! I've kicked it up a notch, so adjust the heat to your own preference! ;) :)

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (12 ounce) cold beer, I use Budweiser
1/4 cup spicy vegetable juice
1 dash celery salt
1 dash louisiana hot sauce, for the brave
1 dash Worcestershire sauce, 1 drop (optional)
1 dash pepper
2 green onions, for stirrers
2 celery ribs, with leafy tops for stirrers

Steps:

  • In small pitcher or martini shaker, slowly pour in beer.
  • Slowly/gently stir in tomato juice.
  • Stir in 1 drop Worcestershire only if you really, really like it, and a dash of hot sauce if you like it extra hot!
  • Add a few ice cubes, and swirl, don't shake!, til chilled.
  • Strain and slowly pour into 2 chilled martini glasses. Try not to let it foam.
  • Srinkle tops of each with a little celery salt and pepper.
  • Place a celery stick and green onion into each glass for "stirrers".
  • Enjoy!
  • *Note: I use the V-8 Spicy Hot Tomato/Vegetable juice for this.

1/2 cup granulated sugar
Zest from 1 lemon
2 ounces (1/4 cup) quality vodka, try a citron vodka
3/4 ounce (1 ½ tablespoons) Cointreau or triple sec
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) fresh squeezed lemon juice (Juice from 1/2 large lemon)
3/4 ounce (1 ½ tablespoons) simple syrup, see our recipe for simple syrup
Ice
Lemon sugar, for glass rim

Steps:

  • Add sugar to a plate then rub the zest into the sugar with your fingers until tinted yellow and fragrant.
  • Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with the juiced lemon, turn the glass upside down and twist into the lemon sugar, set aside.
  • Add vodka, Cointreau (or triple sec), lemon juice, simple syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds or until very cold. Strain into the prepared martini glass and serve immediately.
