This delicious Healthy Sweet Tea Recipe uses honey instead of buckets of sugar.

1 family style black or green tea bag
1/3 cup raw honey
4 cups water ({boiling})
4 cups water ({cold})
1/8 tsp baking soda ({optional})

Steps:

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a near boil.
  • Add tea bag(s) and (optional) baking soda, and cover the pan. Remove from heat, and let steep for 15 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags, pour into a pitcher, add the honey and stir.
  • Add 4 cups of cold water and place in the fridge.
  • Place tea, honey, 8 cups of room temperature water, and baking soda in a sun tea jar. Place in a sunny place.
  • Stir occasionally if possible to distribute the honey. The length of time to steep will depend on how hot it is outside.
  • Serve over ice if you'd like to serve immediately. Transfer to the refrigerator and cool.

Number Of Ingredients 3

3 family sized black tea bags
2 family sized green tea bags
1/3 cup raw unfiltered honey

Steps:

  • Bring 1 quart of filtered water to rolling boil.
  • remove water from heat and add in tea bags. Steep for 15 minutes.
  • In a 2 cup measuring cup measure out 1/3 cup of raw honey then fill with filtered water to 1 2/3 cup level and slowly stir until honey is dissolved.
  • In a 1 gallon jug ( I used plastic one for mixing only as repeated hot liquids in my glass container will crack it eventually) add 1 quart tea concentrate with bags removed with bags pressed of liquid. Fill jug half way with filtered water then mix in honey water fill to 1 gallon mark stir.
  • transfer to glass container and refrigerate. ENJOY!
