MAGIC PEACH COBBLER (OR ANY FRUIT)



Magic Peach Cobbler (or any fruit) image

This recipe is for peach cobbler, but you can substitute the peaches with other fruit - just drain juices off and adjust sugar if needed.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 stick margarine or butter
1 c sugar
1 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 c milk
1 3/4 c sliced peaches
1 c sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Melt margarine or butter in 9"x5" pan. Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk in a bowl. Pour into pan over the margarine/butter, but do NOT stir.
  • 2. Add peaches on top of the batter. Sprinkle remaining sugar over the peaches.
  • 3. Bake 30 minutes at 350.
  • 4. Insert toothpick in cobbler and it is done when toothpick comes out clean.
  • 5. Note: May substitute other fruit for peaches. Drain any juice off and adjust sugar as needed.

1 pkg jiffy white cake mix
1/4 c margarine or butter, soften
1/2 c chopped nuts ( use walnuts)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread filling in a 8" square pan. Combine cake mix and nuts in bowl. Add margarine or butter and mixed until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of pie filling. Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.

3 - cups canned sliced peaches in juice, drained
1/2 - cup butter, softened
3/4 - cup sugar
1 - teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 - cup milk
1 - cup all purpose flour
1/8 - teaspoon salt
1 - teaspoon baking powder
1/3 - cup sugar
1/2 - teaspoon cinnamon
1 - tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 - cup boiling water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 8x8 inch baking pan with non stick spray. Drain the sliced peaches and arrange them in the bottom of the baking pan. In a large bowl or kitchen aid mixer, cream the butter with 3/4 cup sugar. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Add the milk, flour, salt and baking powder to the sugar butter mixture. Mix until creamy. Spread the batter over the peaches and smooth. In a separate bowl, mix 1/3 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon with the cornstarch. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the boiling water over the sugar mixture making sure to cover all of the sugar with the water. This is where the magic happens and what makes the crispy topping. Bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes. Cool slightly before serving. Cook's Note: Fresh peaches can be substituted for canned peaches. About 4 peaches is equal to 3 cups.

A fruit cobbler using tinned fruit. Very quick and very nice. This is another of my wifes recipes, i know not where they come from but they are all very nice.

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup sugar or 1/2 cup Splenda granular
3/4 cup milk
1 cup flour
15 ounces fruit cocktail or 15 ounces peaches, drained

Steps:

  • Melt the butter in a 9"x15" pan.
  • Mix the baking powder, milk, flour and sugar together.
  • Pour on top of the melted butter, don't stir.
  • Pour the fruit on top of the batter, don't stir.

2 c surgar, divided
1 stick butter, melted
1 c self rising flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 c cocoa powder
1 c 2 % reduced fat milk

Steps:

  • 1. Place butter and batter in the bottom of the pan, spoon on the fruit, When the cobler bakes, the crust rises through the fruit to the top, Self-Rising Flour is a MUST.
  • 2. 1.Preheat oven to 350 F
  • 3. 2. Combine cherries and 1 cup of sugar in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves, cherries released their juices, and liquid thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
