1 pound ground turkey
1/4 cup minced red onion
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dill
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 whole wheat burger buns (or gluten-free)
4 slices cheddar cheese
Romaine lettuce leaves (optional)
Red onion slices (optional)
Tomato slices (optional)
Organic ketchup (optional)
Organic Barbecue sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat a large pan over medium low heat.
  • To a medium bowl, combine the turkey, minced red onion, garlic, parsley, dill, salt and pepper. Mix together until just combined.
  • Form into four patties, and make a dimple in the center so that they keep their shape.
  • Lightly spray the pan with olive oil, and add the turkey patties to the hot pan.
  • Cook for eight minutes, undisturbed. Flip patties and top each with a slice of cheese.
  • Cook for an additional eight minutes undisturbed until cooked through with no pink in the center.
  • To assemble, place the bottom buns on for plates, top with Romain lettuce leaves, optional sauces, cooked turkey patty, more lettuce, and optional tomatoes, onions and more optional sauce.

4 slices 2% American or part-skim cheddar cheese slices ((0.7 ounces each))
1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
1 teaspoon kosher salt
black pepper (to taste)
4 whole wheat 100 calorie hamburger rolls (I use Martins potato)
4 crisp Iceburg lettuce slices
red onion (sliced and separated)
sliced ripe tomatoes
sliced pickles
ketchup and mustard (optional, if desired)

Steps:

  • Set grill to medium heat. Clean and oil the grates.
  • Fold each slice of cheese into quarters to create 4 short stacks.
  • Divide the ground turkey into 8 equal balls then flatten into 1/4 inch thick patties.
  • Place a stack of cheese in the center of 4 patties and top with the remaining 4 patties. Pinch the edges to seal, then push the up the sides so they are an even thickness. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  • Place patties and oiled grill and cover, cook about 6 minutes per side over medium heat, or until the center is cooked through. Transfer to buns with toppings and be sure to let it cool before biting into the center so you don't burn your mouth.

1 lb Ground Turkey Breast (454g)
6 cups Spinach (Fresh, 180g)
2 Tbsp Onion (Finely Chopped, 20g)
2 tsp Garlic (Minced, 2-3 cloves)
1 tsp Cumin
½ tsp Oregano
½ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Black Pepper
3 oz Cream Cheese (Reduced Fat, 85g, about 6 Tbsp)
Cooking spray or Olive Oil for greasing

Steps:

  • Heat a large saucepan over medium and cook spinach until completely wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Allow to cool, then squeeze out all the water using paper towels. (Make sure you get as much out as possible).
  • Chop into small chunks.
  • In a large bowl combine turkey, spinach, onion, garlic, spices and salt and mix well until uniform.
  • Divide the mixture into 10 parts.
  • Line a 1-cup measuring cup with plastic wrap, add a portion of the burger mix and press down to pack. Lift out of cup with lining edge, and transfer to clean work surface.ORUse slightly wet hands and and shape into ½" thick patties.
  • Divide cream cheese into 5 parts, place each on a patty and flatten down.
  • Cover each cheese-topped patty with an empty one and press town to shape.

3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/3 cup bacon bits

1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

4 romaine leaves
1 medium tomato, sliced
