2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon clove
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tea bag (I use Lipton strong black tea)
1 teaspoon lemon juice concentrate
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • Pour water, cinnamon, and cloves into a pan.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Add a tea bag and let steep at a lower heat until desired strength is reached. I usually wait 2 minutes.
  • Stir in 1 teaspoons lemon juice and sugar. More or less lemon juice may be needed depending on the concentration. The kind I use is pretty strong, so I only use a teaspoons Use less sugar or substitute depending on your preference.
  • Remove from pan and heat and pour into cups. Cool and serve with ice for an ice tea.

3 cups cold water
3 lemons, zest of
1 tablespoon sugar or 1 tablespoon honey

Steps:

  • Bring the water and the lemon zest to a simmer in a small, heavy suacepan set over moderately low heat.
  • Once simmering, turn the heat as low as possible, cover, and let the mixture steep for twenty minutes (do NOT allow the mixture to boil or it will become bitter).
  • Sweeten, if you like, with honey or sugar, strain, and serve steaming hot.

  • Set water to boil.
  • While water is heating get spearmint and crush in a mortar with a little hot water.

  • Let steep, and then add brown sugar to taste.

7 lemon-flavored tea bags
2 1/2 tablespoons mint leaves (fresh crushed)
1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 cup orange juice
7 1/2 cups cold water

Steps:

  • Combine boiling water, tea bags, and mint in a large container.
  • Cover and steep 7 minutes.
  • Remove and discard tea bags.
  • Stir in lemonade, orange juice, and cold water.
  • Cover and chill 4 to 6 hours.
  • Strain into ice-filled glasses.

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
1 lemon, juice of, freshly squeezed
