3 packages (3 ounces each) orange gelatin
3 cups boiling water
1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple
3 cups cold water
4 medium firm bananas, sliced
2-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
3/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut, toasted

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Stir the cold water, bananas, marshmallows and pineapple into gelatin. , Pour into a 13-in. x 9-in. dish coated with cooking spray; refrigerate until firm., Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine sugar and flour. Stir in reserved pineapple juice until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes longer., Remove from the heat. Stir a small amount of hot filling into the egg; return all to the pan, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Cool., In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in, cooled filling. Fold in whipped cream. Spread over gelatin (dish will be full). Sprinkle with nuts and coconut.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 box 6 oz orange jello
1 small can mandarin oranges
1 can(s) 1- 9oz can crushed pineapple
1 pkg 1 small lemon-instant pudding
1 can(s) 1 sm can frozen orange juice
1 small container cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. Dissolve box of orange jello into 2C boiling water. Add small can of frozen orange juice. Chill until slightly congealed.
  • 2. Add can of mandarin oranges (undrained) and crushed pineaople (undrained) Mix and let set until firm in a 9x13 dish
  • 3. Mix lemon pudding as directed on package and add 1/2 to 3/4 of the container of Cool Whip, Blend and frost the jello once it is totally firm. Chill until ready o serve.

1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple
Water
1 package (6 ounces) orange gelatin
1 pint orange sherbet, softened
2 bananas, sliced

Steps:

  • Drain oranges and pineapple, reserving juices. Set oranges and pineapple aside. Add water to juices to measure 2 cups. Place in a saucepan and bring to a boil; pour over gelatin in a large bowl. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in sherbet until smooth. , Chill until partially set (watch carefully). Fold in oranges, pineapple and bananas. Pour into an oiled 6-cup mold. Chill until firm.

My Mother made this for special occasions when I was still at home. Almost forgot about it. However started thinking of special memories and home. Made it for Easter dinner this year.

DISSOLVE GELATIN IN 2 CUP HOT WATER. DILUTE WITH 2 CUP COLD WATER.
1 (8 oz.) box orange gelatin (or your choice)
4 c water
2 medium bananas (sliced)
1 (8 oz.) can(s) pineapple, crushed and drained
SAVE DRAINED PINEAPPLE JUICE
1/2 c sugar
2 Tbsp flour
1 large egg (beaten)
1 c cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. Assemble Ingredients.
  • 2. Use 9 x 9 inch pan
  • 3. Put gelatin in the Refrigerator until partially set.
  • 4. When Gelain begins to partially set, fold in Sliced bananas and crushed pineapple.
  • 5. Allow to completely set up in the Refrigerator.
  • 6. Using a small sauce pan, mix sugar and flour. Add enough water to drained pineapple juice to make l cup and stir into mixture in pan.
  • 7. Quickly stir in l beaten egg. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  • 8. Fold in Cool Whip
  • 9. Spread frosting on top of gelatin. Let this set up overnight.
  • 10. This can be made several days in advance.
