1 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 (6-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup finely chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine butter, vanilla, and salt on bowl, and blend well. Gradually beat in sugar. Add flour, chocolate morsels, and 3/4 cup walnuts; mix well. Press evenly into ungreased 15x10x1 pan. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup walnuts over top and press in lightly. Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool, then break in pieces.

1 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease one 15x10x1 inch pan (jelly roll pan).
  • Cream butter and salt and vanilla. Beat in the sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the flour until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans. Pat dough with hands into the prepared pan.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 25 minutes or until light brown at the edges. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Once cool, break with hands into pieces.

1 c butter, softened- very, very soft (do not use margarine)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 c all purpose flour (not sifted)
6 oz package of semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c pecans or walnuts (chopped)
1 c sugar

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed, Cream butter add salt & vanilla beat in sugar until light & fluffy scrapping bowl occasionally.
  • 2. Add flour a little at a time; continue to mix until well combined; By Hand stir in chocolate & nuts;
  • 3. Pat dough with hands onto a Greased pan or cookie sheet& bake about 25 minutes until LIght brown at edges on 375. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Once cooled BREAK up with hands into pieces & enjoy I place the pieces into decorative bowls and place on coffee table. I also bag them and give as gifts in decorative bags. THERE ARE NEVER ANY LEFT OVER :0)
