Are you ready for yet another breakfast casserole? This one is slightly different than the others I saw listed as it has only 5 ingredients, no mustard, and since I make it with sausage, the meat adds all the flavor my kids want. I usually serve it Christmas morning with either orange-marmalade or cranberry-walnut apple muffins.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb breakfast sausage
8 ounces cheddar cheese
2 cups milk
6 eggs, beaten
12 slices bread, crusts trimmed
butter or margarine

Steps:

  • Butter bread on both sides.
  • Grease a 9 x 13 inch cake pan.
  • Line bottom and sides of pan with slices of bread; use 1/2 slices for the sides.
  • Cook and crumble sausage; drain on paper towels.
  • Sprinkle grated cheese over bread.
  • Pour eggs and milk over slices of bread.
  • Top with crumbled meat.
  • Refrigerate overnight.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.

This is another one of those recipes that I found in a book somewhere a long time ago, and tweaked it for my kids taste......Teenagers love this dish! I Guess I've never grown up, cause' I like it too!.....K. :)

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 box(es) kraft macaroni and cheese
2 large eggs
1 large jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
1 small chopped onion
1 jar(s) sliced mushrooms (drained)
1 pound(s) cooked ground sausage meat
2 cup(s) shredded cheddar and mozzerella cheese

Steps:

  • Prepare Kraft (or any brand) mac & cheese according to pk. directions.......stir in two beaten eggs , mix well and and pour into 9x13 in. greased glass dish.......Bake for 15 min. @ 350 degrees
  • In a bowl, combine spaghetti sauce, cooked ground sausage, chopped onion, and mushrooms...Mix well, and pour over macaroni.....top with the shredded cheese..Bake at 350 degrees, about 40 min....till golden and bubbly! Serve with a nice tossed salad, and crusty bread!....Yum!
