4 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lime juice

Steps:

  • Start by adding water and sugar to a medium saucepan and heating on high heat. Boil until sugar has fully dissolved stirring constantly. It typically takes about 2 minutes to dissolve. Take of the heat and place in the refrigerator until cool.
  • Combine simple syrup mixture with the lime juice. Serve over ice. Garnish with extra slices of lime.

½ cup water
1 (3 ounce) package lime flavored Jell-O® mix
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked

Steps:

  • Heat the lemonade and the water to boiling. Add the gelatin and the cream cheese and blend well.
  • Fold in the non-dairy whipped topping.
  • Pour mixture into the pie shell and chill or freeze. It's a breeze!

Simple Syrup:
4 cups water
3 1/3 cups sugar
LIME DRINK RECIPE:
3/4 cup simple syrup (from above)
6 lime slices
8 sprigs fresh mint
GARNISH:
4 sprigs fresh mint
1/4 cup mixed fresh lime juice and lemon juice
sparkling water, as needed
fresh wild blueberries (or regular blueberries if you do not have wild)

Steps:

  • Simple Syrup: In a saucepan bring the water and sugar up to a boil. Stir on occasion and cook until the sugar has dissolved. Cool the mixture down. Syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Lime Drink: In 4 drink size canning jars (or large glasses) put in a piece of lime slice and a couple mint sprigs. Add 40 ml of the simple syrup and 20 ml of the lemon/lime juice to each glass. Add ice cubes then add sparkling water to fill each glass to the top. Garnish each glass with a thin slice of lime and fresh mint.

  • In a large saucepan, heat the sugar and 2 cups water until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot. Allow to cool, and then place into a large drink dispenser or jug. Add the lemon juice and lime juice and stir. Fill with ice and top with 1 gallon (16 cups) cold water. Add the lemon and lime slices.

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup fresh lime juice
1 ½ teaspoons grated lime zest
½ cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar, egg, and egg yolk until smooth. Stir in lime juice and lime zest. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; blend into the creamed mixture. Form dough into 1/2 inch balls, and arrange on the prepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks. Sift confectioners' sugar over cookies while still warm.

I bought a bottle of key lime juice for Christmas to make a key lime pie. I noticed the expiration date is 20-15-2015. I only used a little ,so quite a bit is left.I was making lemonade this afternoon and decided to use some of the key lime juice,first I added half key lime,half lemon juice,but the key lime was so good,I added a bit more.It was delicious! So refreshing! Next Key lime squares. (like lemon squares)
