1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
1 tablespoon hot water
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups whipped topping
1 chocolate crumb crust (9 inches)
PUDDING LAYER:
1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
1 cup 2% milk
1 package (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
1-1/2 cups whipped topping
KAHLUA CREAM:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon Kahlua (coffee liqueur)
Chocolate curls, optional

Steps:

  • Dissolve coffee granules in hot water. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and coffee mixture. Fold in whipped topping. Spoon into crust., In a small bowl, dissolve coffee granules in milk. In a large bowl, combine milk mixture and pudding mix. Beat on high speed until pudding is thick. Fold in whipped topping. Spread carefully over cream cheese layer., In a small bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Add confectioners' sugar and Kahlua; beat until soft peaks form. Spread over pudding layer. Top with chocolate curls if desired. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.

Kahlua®, pecan, and chocolate pie; that is the perfect autumn desert. The chocolate chips don't make it too sweet and add just the right texture to a pecan pie. The Kahlua® tastes better if you let the pie sit for a day or two. This is not just your typical pecan pie. You can substitute Kahlua®-flavored coffee syrup for the Kahlua® liqueur, if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.

2 unbaked deep dish pie crusts
2 cups chocolate chips, divided
2 cups pecan halves, divided
2 cups dark corn syrup (such as Karo®)
6 eggs, beaten
1 ½ cups white sugar
½ cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 cup coffee-flavored liqueur (such as Kahlua®)
½ cup chocolate syrup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup pecan halves into the bottom of each pie shell.
  • Whisk dark corn syrup and eggs together in a bowl. Add sugar, butter, and vanilla extract to corn syrup mixture and whisk until smooth. Stir in coffee-flavored liqueur and chocolate syrup until pie filling is well-mixed. Pour filling into each prepared pie shell, being careful not to disturb the pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Bake pies in the preheated oven until crust is lightly browned and filling is puffy set, 50 to 60 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

1/4 cup ( 1/2 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup Kahlúa or coffee liqueur
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 large eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 purchased frozen deep-dish 9-inch pie crust
2/3 cup chilled whipping cream
Pecan halves (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Beat sugar and butter in medium bowl until smooth; beat in flour. Gradually beat in corn syrup, then Kahlúa and vanilla. Mix in eggs, then chopped pecans. Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of crust. Pour filling into crust.
  • Bake pie until filling is puffed around edges and just set in center, covering edge of crust if browning too quickly, about 45 minutes. Transfer pie to rack and cool completely. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate.)
  • Beat cream in medium bowl until peaks form. Drop whipped cream in small dollops around edge of pie. Place pecan half atop each dollop, if desired.

KAHLUA & BAILEYS CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE

I lost my old recipe for Kahluah Pie and there were none like it on this site, so I improvised. It is silky, rich and I love the consistency: not too firm, soft and smooth but holds it's shape. And my crust stayed crisp! The toasted almonds are the perfect complement in flavor and crunch. A sliver is a serving - it is SO rich - and it can be made with any liqueur you like, Baileys and 'Hot Damn' (cinnamon) would be good, like the drink 'Oatmeal Cookie'.

1 baked pie crust, I prefer a traditional pastry crust
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup Kahlua
1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream or 1/4 cup just more Kahlua
3 tablespoons vanilla instant pudding mix (to help pie set)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
1/4 cup icing sugar, added to the cream cheese is optional if you prefer a sweeter pie

Steps:

  • Toast almonds in a 300 degree oven while melting choc. chips in a double boiler. Watch the almonds CAREFULLY, they burn in a flash.
  • With a hand mixer, beat melted chocolate into the cream cheese till it is smooth and glossy and holds it's shape.
  • Beat in liqueur by the 1/4 cup.
  • In another bowl, whip the cream, adding in the pudding mix and the salt; beat untill it is very stiff.
  • On low, blend the two mixtures together completely.
  • Pour into a pie crust and decorate or garnish with the toasted almonds.
  • Refrigerate until set, about 4 hours; this pie improves with age.
  • You can make this far more chocolatey if you double the choc. chips.

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375. Place unbaked pie shell in a 9-inch round pie pan.
  • 2. Place pecans in the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.

2 Tbsp butter, melted
24 large marshmallows, or 3 cups, mini
11/2 c cold milk
1/8 tsp salt
1/3 c kahlua

semi-sweet mini chocolate chips or chocolate curls

Steps:

  • 1. To make crust, combine cookie crumbs and butter. Press firmly over bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Freeze until firm. Melt marshmallows with milk and salt over hot water. Cool until mixture mounds on a spoon. Stir in Kahlua. Whip cream if using until stiff peaks form; fold into mixture. Chill until mixture ripples when lightly stirred (about 35 minutes). 3/4 c dark brown sugar, packed
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 Tbsp all purpose flour
3 eggs
1/2 c kahlua
1/2 c corn syrup, dark
3/4 c heavy cream
1 1/4 c pecans, chopped
2 oz unsweetened baking chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
1/8 tsp salt (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. If using chocolate, melt in double boiler.
  • 2. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and flour until fluffy.
  • 3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 4. Stir in Kahlua, corn syrup, cream, and pecans. (Add chocolate at this stage). Mix well and pour into crust.

• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/3 cup shortening
• 4 - 5 tablespoons ice cold water
For the Filling:
• 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 3 eggs, lightly beaten
• 3/4 cup light-color corn syrup
• 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/4 cup butter, melted
• 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (Kahlua)
• 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
For the Crust: In a medium bowl, stir together all-purpose flour and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in shortening until pieces are pea-size.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon cold water over part of flour mixture; toss gently with a fork. Push to side of bowl. Repeat with additional cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time (4 to 5 tablespoons total), until all is moistened. Shape into a ball.
On a lightly floured surface, use your hands to slightly flatten dough. Roll dough from center to edge into a 12-inch circle.
Wrap pastry circle around rolling pin; transfer to a 9-inch pie plate. Ease pastry into pie plate without stretching it. Trim pastry to 1/2 inch beyond edge of pie plate. Fold under extra pastry. Crimp edge as desired. Do not prick pastry.
Sprinkle with the 3/4 cup chocolate chips.
For the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, coffee liqueur, flour, and vanilla. Stir in the 1 cup chopped pecans. Slowly pour filling over chocolate pieces in bottom of crust.
Cover edge of pie with foil to prevent overbrowning. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil.

Then reduce temperature to 350 degree and bake 30 minutes longer until center is set. Note: you may need to cover loosely with foil to prevent the crust from browning too much as the pie bakes.

This unique pie recipe is made with a Kahlua Browned Butter Crust, and a layered creamy filling that is fluffy and a topping Kahlua whipped Cream.

KAHLUA BROWNED BUTTER CRUST:
1/2 c butter
1 Tbsp kahlua
2 1/2 c crushed packaged shortbread cookies
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
FILLING:
1 pkg knox unflavored gelatine
1/4 c cold water
3 large eggs, separated
7 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 c kahlua
3 Tbsp vodka
1/2 c whipping cream or 1 1/2 cups thawed cool whip
TOPPING:
1 c whipping cream or 8 oz. thawed cool whip
2 Tbsp kahlua

Steps:

  • 1. Kahlua Browned Butter Crust: In a saucepan, heat butter until lightly browned. Remove from heat. Add kahlua. Stir in cookie crumbs and sugar; blend well. Reserve 1/2 cup of mixture for pie's center. Press remaining crumbs firmly over bottom and sides of buttered 9-inch pie pan; chill.
  • 2. Filling: Soften gelatine in cold water; let stand 5 minutes. Dissolve over hot water. Beat egg yolks with 4 Tablespoons sugar until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually beat in kahlua and vodka. Cool, stirring occasionally, until mixture thickens slightly. Beat egg whites until frothy; then, one at a time, beat in 3 Tablespoons sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold into kahlua-gelatine mixture. Whip cream until stiff peaks form; fold in. Chill mixture a few minutes,until it mounds on a spoon. Turn 1/2 into chilled crust. Sprinkle with reserved crust mixture. Top with remaining filling; shill several hours or overnight. Before serving, swirl Kahlua Cream topping over pie. Garnish with white and chocolate curls of chocolate and white chips.
  • 3. Kahlua Cream Topping: Whip cream with kahlua until stiff peaks form. Spread on pie. Garnish. See Kahlua Black Russian Pie too!

Chocolate and Kahlua is my favorite combination of flavors! I love this pie. You can use either a regular graham cracker crust or chocolate crust...I like chocolate! (Cook time is chill time.)

1 cup butter, softened
3 ounces chocolate squares, melted
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
1/2 cup Kahlua
3 eggs, beaten
1 (9 inch) chocolate graham wafer pie crust (or regular)
6 ounces whipping cream, beaten

Steps:

  • Whip butter, then add chocolate and sugar.
  • Slowly add Kahlua, then beaten eggs until mixed well.
  • Pour mixture into prepared crust.
  • Refrigerate for two hours or until set.
  • Garnish with whipped cream.

1 (9 inch) pie shell
1 cup white sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
4 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup Kahlua
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a small saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Cool slightly. In a large bowl combine eggs, Kahlua, vanilla, and salt. Mix well. Slowly pour sugar mixture into egg mixture, whisking constantly. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.* Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until set and golden. May be served warm or chilled. *Alternatively, you can put the chocolate chips in crust to line crust before you put in pecan mixture.
