KAHLUA-CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
A twist on the everyday chocolate chip cookies. I make mine with a sugar-free Kahlua coffee flavored syrup and walnuts. Gives it just the right taste. Try these cookies next time you want a chocolate chip cookie. You won't be sorry.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 375°F
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
- In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar and shortening; mix well.
- Add eggs, liqueur and vanilla; mix well.
- Slowly stir in flour mixture until of uniform consistency.
- Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
- Drop onto baking sheet in teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart.
- Bake 10 to 11 minutes or until light brown.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350°. (I always forget this so I added it above the ingredients, too.)
- 2. In large bowl, combine the white and brown sugars. Add butter and cream together with the sugar. Add vanilla, Kahlua and eggs, mixing well.
- 3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, oatmeal, baking soda and salt together. Add dry mixture to the creamed mixture. Mix well; the dough will be stiff. Add the chocolate/toffee chips.
- 4. Line cookie sheets with baking parchment or wax paper. Using a small ice cream scoop, drop dough onto the cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.

- 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line 3 cookie sheets with parchment paper; set aside. Dissolve instant coffee in the cream; set aside.
- 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars. Add the egg, Kahlua, vanilla and coffee/cream mixture, and mix with electric mixer until ingredients are well combined.
- 3. In a medium size bowl, stir together the sifted flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture to the creamy butter/sugar mixture, and mix just until well combined. Add the white chips and stir until well combined.
- 4. Using a cookie scoop (or a 2-tablespoon scoop), drop dough onto the parchment-lined cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 9 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on baking sheet, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
