A rub for all meats, but we use mainly ribs in Tennessee. Brown sugar, ground peppers and spices are blended to bring out the full flavor of whatever you decide to toss on the grill!

2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 ½ tablespoons ground white pepper
1 ½ tablespoons crushed red pepper
1 ½ tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, ground black pepper, paprika, chile powder, ground white pepper, crushed red pepper, salt and garlic powder. Rub meat vigorously and wrap in foil. Refrigerate at least 8 hours, or overnight, before grilling with barbeque sauce.

All-Around Spice Rub image

This rub adds flavor to any meat cooked with any method! You can use just black pepper instead of the blend if you wish.

¾ cup paprika
¼ cup fresh-ground pepper blend
¼ cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoon sea salt
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Stir the paprika, pepper, brown sugar, chili powder, onion powder, sea salt, and cayenne pepper together in a container with a lid. Store in a cool, dark place between uses.
