These burgers are juicy and taste wonderful! Remember to use the full 2 pounds of lean ground sirloin or the burgers will fall apart. Serve with extra barbecue sauce.

2 lbs ground sirloin
1/4 cup barbecue sauce (use your favorite)
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Place meat in a large bowl. Add seasonings, sauces, and oil and mix together with your hands. Do not handle too much or it will make the burgers tough - just enough to mix the ingredients.
  • Work mixture into patties of the desired size. Place on wax paper and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  • Grill until cooked to your desired temperature. Serve on buns.
  • Cooks note: Try topping with crumbled blue cheese and bacon or grilled onion, tomato and Italian dressing or mozzarella and pizza sauce or grilled mushrooms and Swiss cheese.

1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
½ onion, finely chopped
½ cup shredded Colby Jack or Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat a grill for high heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, cheese, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, egg, onion soup mix, garlic, garlic powder, parsley, basil, oregano, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.

1 pint fresh blueberries
3 pounds extra lean ground beef
¼ cup flax seed meal
2 teaspoons sea salt, or to taste
2 teaspoons ground black pepper, or to taste

Steps:

  • Place blueberries in a food processor; pulse until finely chopped but not pureed. Mix blueberries, ground beef, flax meal, salt, and pepper together in a bowl; form into 12 burger patties. Freeze until patties are firm, about 10 minutes.
