VANILLA PEAR MILKSHAKE

Vanilla Pear Milkshake image

This is a new one that I just came up with. It is a vanilla pear milkshake, wonderful for those hot summer days when you want ice cream but also, something that is a little healthier added to it, too. Kids will love it thinking that it is all just a treat, but are actually getting a good amount of fruit in with it. Try it and enjoy!

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 pear
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
3/4 cup 2% low-fat milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • ***Add more ice cream or reduce the amount of milk to thicken the shake to desired thickness. Also, if you do not like pears, don't be afraid to switch it for something such as a banana or another fruit.
  • Chop the pear into quarter-sized pieces.
  • Add pear, ice cream, milk, and vanilla into blender.
  • Blend ingredients on low for 30-60 seconds.
  • Serve *You can also try serving this shake in a frosted glass for extended clill.
  • Enjoy :).

JAMOCHA ME CRAZY MILKSHAKE

Jamocha Me Crazy Milkshake image

This recipe has been developed for ZWT9 and the wonderful hostesses with which I have the pleasure of working on ZWT with. This will get you buzzing. The chocolate covered coffee beans and Tia Maria are listed as optional but they do make such a wonderful difference!

Time 10m

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup strong black coffee
1/2-2/3 cup milk (I used almond milk)
1 tablespoon hot cocoa mix
1 -2 tablespoon roasted coffee beans
3 scoops chocolate ice cream
1/2 ounce Tia Maria (optional)
whipped cream, for garnish
chocolate syrup, for garnish
3 tablespoons chocolate-covered coffee beans, coarsely chopped (optional)

Steps:

  • Pour coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze. You will not need all the coffee cubes but they can be saved in a baggie to make this wonderful drink again.
  • Place the 1/2 cup milk, cocoa mix, coffee beans and ice cream in blender container. Add in 2 to 3 frozen coffee cubes and blend until smooth. The number of ice cubes depends on how much coffee flavor and how thick you want your shake. If you are using the Tia Maria add it prior to blending. If the shake is to thick add in the remaining milk until desired consistency.
  • Pour into 2 glasses, garnish with whipped cream, drizzle with chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with chopped coffee beans and enjoy.
