Number Of Ingredients 15

3/4 cup(s) beef broth
3/4 pound(s) round steak (or your choice of steak), cut into 1/4 inch strips
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
3 tablespoon(s) red wine vinegar
3 tablespoon(s) olive oil
1 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1 - onion, sliced
1 tablespoon(s) cornstarch
1 - green, red, or yellow bell pepper (or mix)
2 teaspoon(s) sugar
1 teaspoon(s) red pepper flakes
- whole wheat noodles
1/4 teaspoon(s) marjoram
1 - garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon(s) dried basil

Steps:

  • Mix the beef broth, the first measure of olive oil, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, cornstarch, sugar, red pepper, basil, marjoram and garlic in a container. A plastic container with a lid or a zip lock bag will be fine. Add steak, cover and refrigerate to marinate at least 3 hours. Stir occasionally. Place the 3 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet on lower heat and sautè sliced onions and bell pepper until tender about 3 - 4 minutes. Remove meat from marinade with tongs (reserve the marinade) and place into skillet with onions and peppers. Increase heat to medium and sautè beef until brown (about 3 minutes or just until tender), stirring constantly. Stir in reserved marinade and cook until the sauce thickens (1-2 minutes), stirring frequently. Serve over hot, buttered noodles.

I got this recipe from the back of a package of frozen Reame's noodles. I was pleasantly surprised at the rave reviews I got from my kids! I thought it sounded good to me, but the fact that the kids ate it all gone made it a keeper for me!
