FRIED IRISH BANANAS
This recipe is from Dakota Kelly- sounds Irish to me! This is a grand recipe and I want to share it with you. It's very carmely and buttery I added a little whipped cream and chopped pecans on top of the bananas too! What a treat....

- 1. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat, stir in brown sugar and whiskey. Bring to a boil and cool until sugar dissolves. Add bananas and simmer until bananas are tender and glazed with the syrup. Serve over ice cream and top with whipped cream and chopped nuts, if desired.

- Combine the oats, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and bananas with 5 1/2 cups water in the slow cooker. Stir to mix evenly.
- Cover with a lid and cook on low until the oats soften, 6 to 8 hours. Before serving, remove the lid and let the oatmeal cool slightly before stirring. Adjust seasonings, as needed.
- Serve in bowls topped with fresh berries and banana slices.
