Not gourmet but a way to make a burrito fun for your little one. I know hot dogs may not be healthy eating but when you are going through the picky stage and you find anything they will eat you get creative!

8 flour tortillas
8 hot dogs
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup ketchup or 1/2 cup taco sauce

Steps:

  • Heat wieners as directed on package.
  • Heat tortillas.
  • (nuke in the microwave until warm or flip over in a hot skillet to warm through) Place 1 hot wiener on lower third of each tortilla.
  • Sprinkle each wiener with 1/4 cup of the cheese, and about 1 Tbs ketchup or taco sauce.
  • Fold in sides and roll up.

1 large flour tortilla
4 ounces Cheddar, shredded
2 ounces grilled white onion
1 ounce grilled sliced jalapeno
1 ounce diced cooked bacon
One 4-ounce all-beef hot dog
4 ounces cooked seasoned thin french fries
4 ounces Red Chili, recipe follows
1 ounce sour cream
10 pounds ground beef
One 100-ounce can spiced chili beans
One 100-ounce can diced tomatoes
One 100-ounce can tomato sauce
6 ounces chili powder
6 ounces granulated garlic
6 ounces diced onion
4 ounces ground cumin
2 ounces beef bouillon
1 ounce red pepper flakes
2 ounces seasoned salt
1 ounce ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Lay tortilla out and place cheese, onion, jalapeno and bacon in center of tortilla evenly, leaving room at each end to tuck in and roll into a burrito. Cut hot dog in half lengthwise, not cutting all the way through, then butterfly the hot dog open and add to burrito. Top with the french fries, Red Chili and sour cream and roll it up burrito style!
  • Brown meat in a very large pot, then add the chili beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, granulated garlic, onion, cumin, bouillon, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Stir together and let simmer for 30 minutes.

4 beaten eggs
sliced American cheese or cheddar cheese
4 flour tortillas

Steps:

  • Cut hot dogs in thin slices.
  • Cook in small amount of butter until browned.
  • Stir in beaten eggs and cook the scrambled eggs as usual. Remove to plate.
  • Top with slices of cheese and melt in the microwave for about 20secs.

8 slices American processed cheese
1 (10 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Wrap cheese around each frankfurter then the biscuit around that. Put on cookie sheet with the overlap of biscuit faced down, so you don't have to use tooth picks.
  • Bake in preheated oven until biscuits are brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
