Number Of Ingredients 7

5 potatoes
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon , finely chopped green onion
paprika
parsley

Steps:

  • Scrub and quarter potatoes. Place in large saucepan with 2 inches of water. Bring to boil on high heat. Lower heat to medium and cook for 20 minutes or until tender when pierced with a fork. Drain and mash. Stir in sugar, sour cream, dry mustard and green onion. Stir until light and fluffy. Pile into 6 mounds on lightly greased baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika and parsley. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until heated through.

- packaged instant mashed potatoes ( enough for 4 servings )
1/2 cup(s) dairy sour cream
2 teaspoon(s) prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) sugar
2 tablespoon(s) chopped green onions

Steps:

  • Prepare potatoes according to package directions.
  • Heat sour cream (do not boil). Add mustard, salt, onion, and sugar; stir to blend. Mix into hot potatoes
  • Immediately turn into 1 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired. Bake at 350 F about 10 minutes.
