- Cut top fourth off loaf of bread; carefully hollow out bottom, leaving a 1-in. shell. Cube removed bread and set aside. Combine the remaining ingredients; spoon into bread bowl. Replace top. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. , Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until heated through. Serve with reserved bread cubes.

Yield Makes 28 servings, 2 Tbsp. spread and 1/2 oz. bread cubes each.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut lengthwise slice from top of bread loaf. Remove center, leaving 1-inch-thick shell. Cut removed bread into bite-sized peices; set aside.
- Mix remaining ingredients until well blended. Spoon into bread shell; cover with top of bread. Wrap in foil. Place on baking sheet.
- Bake 15 to 20 or until filling is heated through. Serve with the reserved bread pieces and assorted crackers.

I made this recipe for our Christmas eve party. I set it down and went to hang my coat up and when I got back half of it was gone. They loved it and ask for it every year. Hope you enjoy it.

- 1. Cut a lid off top of bread and hollow out center, leaving 1 inch thick shell. Cut removed bread into bite size pieces.
- 2. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl. Spoon into the hollowed bread shell and cover with top of bread. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour . Serve hot; you can reheat in microwave. You may need to have some crackers on hand, we never have enough bread left over.
