HOMESTYLE HAM AND BEAN SOUP

Homestyle Ham and Bean Soup image

This soup is really good and easy. If you have more time, you can use fresh vegetables instead of canned, but I like it either way. My family loves this on a cold winter's day. I believe this recipe is from Taste of Home magazine.

HOMESTYLE HAM AND BEAN SOUP

Homestyle Ham and Bean Soup image

I developed this simple yet delicious recipe as an alternative to split pea and ham - which was my 'go to' after every major ham holiday. This method of cooking the beans keeps them tender while avoiding the overnight soaking that is often required. The family loved it, so now it is part of the regular soup rotation. Hope you...
