Freshly baked bread just got easier with this homemade crescent roll recipe that calls for only four simple ingredients.

1 package regular active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
3/4 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)
3 to 3 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ baking mix
2 tablespoons sugar
All-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. In 1-cup measuring cup, mix yeast and warm water; let stand 5 minutes. In large bowl, stir together 3 cups baking mix and the sugar; gradually stir in yeast mixture.
  • Place dough on lightly floured surface; knead about 10 minutes or until dough is smooth and springy, adding some or all of remaining 1/2 cup baking mix as needed. Roll dough into 12-inch round; cut into 12 wedges. Roll up each wedge, beginning at rounded edge. Place rolls, with points underneath, on cookie sheet and curve slightly. Cover loosely with plastic wrap; let rise in warm place about 1 hour or until dough has doubled in size.
  • Heat oven to 425°F. Uncover rolls. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.

1 package active dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)
3 to 3 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
2 tablespoons sugar

Steps:

  • In 1-cup measuring cup, mix yeast and warm water; let stand 5 minutes. In large bowl, stir 3 cups of the Bisquick mix and the sugar; gradually stir in yeast mixture.
  • On floured surface, knead dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes, adding remaining 1/2 cup Bisquick mix as needed. Roll dough into 12-inch round; cut into 12 wedges. Roll up wedges, starting at wide end, to form crescent shape. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray; place rolls, point sides down, on cookie sheet. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and cloth towel. Let rise in warm place (80°F to 85°F) 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Heat oven to 425°F. Uncover rolls. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.

1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110° to 115°)
1 cup warm 2% milk (110° to 115°)
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
3-1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. In a large bowl, combine milk, egg, sugar, butter, salt, yeast mixture and 1-1/2 cups flour; beat on medium speed 3 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky)., Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour., Punch down dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide in half. Let rest 10 minutes. Roll each portion into a 12-in. circle; cut each into 12 wedges. Roll up wedges from the wide ends. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets, point side down; curve to form crescents. Cover with kitchen towels; let rise in a warm place until almost doubled, about 30 minutes., Preheat oven to 375°. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks; serve warm.

1 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar

Stir in enough flour until dough leaves the sides of bowl and is soft (do not knead). Cover and refrigerate overnight., Punch dough down. Turn onto a floured surface; divide in half.
