1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
¼ cup sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 pinch garlic salt
½ teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
1 pound chipped ham
6 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine the ketchup, water, brown sugar, cider vinegar, sweet pickle relish and Worcestershire sauce. Season with cinnamon, black pepper, garlic salt and liquid smoke. Bring to a simmer over low heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Shred the ham and stir into the mixture. Simmer longer if desired, then serve hot on hamburger buns. The mixture can also be frozen.

1 fully cooked bone-in ham (6 to 8 pounds)
Whole cloves
1-1/4 cups orange soda
1-1/4 cups orange marmalade
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup Dijon mustard

Steps:

  • Place ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Score the surface of the ham, making diamond shapes 1/2 in. deep; insert a clove in the center of each diamond. Loosely cover ham with foil. Bake at 325° for 1-1/2 hours., In a small saucepan, combine the soda, marmalade and brown sugar. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced by half, about 15 minutes. Stir in mustard., Brush ham with some of the glaze; bake 15-30 minutes longer or until a thermometer reads 140°, basting occasionally with remaining glaze. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing., Slice and cube 2 cups ham; save for Ham & Noodle Bake. Slice and serve remaining ham.

This is a really good potato dish. It is a family tradition in our house. This is perfect for cold winter days.

5 lbs red potatoes, quartered
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onion
2 cups cooked chopped ham
salt and pepper
1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Place potatoes in a large pot of water, and bring to a boil.
  • Boil until slightly tender, about 12 minutes.
  • Drain, and transfer to a large bowl.
  • Mix sour cream, milk, cream of chicken soup, Cheddar cheese, green onions, ham, salt and pepper with the potatoes.
  • Spread mixture in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs, and drizzle with butter.
  • Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven.

1 tablespoon butter
1 pound cooked ham, cut into strips
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
⅔ cup evaporated milk
⅓ cup water
¼ cup chopped onion
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 cups thinly sliced potatoes
1 cup bite-size carrot pieces

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add ham and brown sugar. Cook and stir ham until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove ham with a slotted spoon to a plate, reserving drippings in the skillet.
  • Stir cream of mushroom soup, evaporated milk, water, onion, salt, and pepper into the reserved drippings in the skillet; add potato slices and carrot pieces.
