3/4 cup BULL'S-EYE Original Barbecue Sauce
1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple in juice in juice, undrained
1/4 tsp. each nutmeg, ground red pepper and dry mustard
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
4 bone-in pork chops (1-1/2 lb.), 1/2 inch thick

Steps:

  • Heat grill to medium heat.
  • Mix all ingredients except chops until blended. Reserve 1/2 cup sauce for serving with the cooked chops.
  • Grill chops 5 min. on each side. Brush with some of the remaining sauce; grill 3 to 4 min. or until chops are done (145ºF), turning occasionally and brushing with remaining sauce.
  • Remove chops from grill. Let stand 3 min. before serving with the reserved sauce.

4 bone in pork chops, 1/2 "
5 Tbsp apple juice or mirin
3 Tbsp shoyu
dash(es) sesame oil
SAUCE
3/4 c kochujang
1/2 c ketchup
1/3 c apple cider
3 Tbsp hoisin sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
2 tsp ginger, chopped
1 c water
green onions, sliced
sesame seeds, toasted

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the apple juice, shoyu and sesame oil. Place pork chops in a shallow pan. Pour the mixture over the pork chops and allow to marinate for 20 minutes to 1 hour.
  • 2. For the sauce, combine the sauce ingredients in a non reactive pan. Bring to a boil and simmer until thickened like ketchup or BBQ sauce. Reserve.
  • 3. Heat a gas or wood grill to medium high heat. Grill on each side for approximately 5 minutes or until an internal temperature of 140, basting generously with sauce to create a sticky glaze.
  • 4. Reglaze before serving. Optional garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seed.
