1 (1 pound) bag ready-to-cook haricots verts (recommended: Greenline)
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup shaved Parmesan, garnish

Steps:

  • Place haricots verts in a large microwave-safe bowl with a 1/2 cup of water. Cover and cook on HIGH for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and drain.
  • To haricots verts add sour cream, lemon juice, salt and freshly ground black pepper. Toss to coat. Garnish with shaved Parmesan and serve immediately.

2 pounds haricots verts
Good olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Trim the stem ends only from the haricots verts and place them on two sheet pans. Drizzle the beans with 2 tablespoons of the oil (total) and spread them out in one layer. Sprinkle them with 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon pepper. Roast for 10 minutes, until crisp-tender.

12 ounces frozen haricots verts, or petit green beans (recommended: C and W)
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 teaspoon lemon pepper (recommended: Lawry's)
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap. Place in microwave and cook on high for 4 minutes. Stir ingredients and cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
