2 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 cups water

  • Brown hamberger.
  • Drain grease.
  • Follow the directions on Rice-A-Roni.
  • when you add the water mix in the hamberger.
  • Cover continue to cook at simmer 15-20 Min or.
  • until rice is tender.

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup raw rice
8 ounces spaghetti, broken into 1-inch pieces
4 tablespoons margarine
4 cups beef broth
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Brown onion and beef in large skillet.
  • Drain and rinse to remove all fat, if desired.
  • Brown rice and spaghetti in margarine.
  • Add beef, onion and broth to rice mixture.
  • Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice and spaghetti are fully cooked.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

2 box rice a roni fried rice
1 lb ground beef
1 1/2 Tbsp slivered almonds, chopped
salt & pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. First chop the slivered almonds so they are ready. Don't chop them too small. Then in a large fry pan, cook the Rice A Roni per the directions on the package. After adding the water in as the package directions tell you, then add the chopped almonds, stir and simmer according to the directions. I usually simmer it for 17 minutes. I like it a little wet when its done.
  • 2. While the rice is simmering, in another pan, fry the hamburger until it is no longer pink and drain.
  • 3. When the rice is done, add the hamburger to the rice a roni and mix, cooking it about 5 to 7 minutes longer letting the water evaporate so it is no longer wet and the hamburger is well incorporated. Add salt and pepper to taste. If you like pepper as I do, it really gives this a good taste.
  • 4. This is good to reheat and it freezes well to. The pictures are mine.

Easy meal and everyone usually loves this. I usually make it into a casserole, and put finished product into into a greased casserole dish, then add the cheese to the top and bake until cheese melts and serve.

2 (6 ounce) boxes spanish rice Rice-A-Roni
4 tablespoons butter
4 cups water
2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
1 -1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 diced onion
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
2 (14 ounce) cans corn (drained)
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese or 8 ounces Mexican blend cheese
1 teaspoon luzianne cajun seasoning or 1 teaspoon similar mixed spice
2 -3 dashes lousiana style hot sauce

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef with onions and bellpepper. Drain grease.
  • In a dutch oven prepare both boxes of rice a roni to box directions.
  • When rice mixture comes to a boil, add hamburger with onions and bell pepper to rice, add in cans of corn and cajun seasoning. Bring mixture to a boil and cover. Lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir often to prevent rice from sticking. When rice is done, add cheese, stir and serve!
  • I always add more hot sauce to my plate of food, but I love the twang of hot sauce.
