Cheddar cheese is blended with the usual cream cheese for these attractive little ham spirals, giving them an extra splash of flavor and color. You'll get plenty of requests for the recipe.

1 pound thinly sliced cooked ham
3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 (8 ounce) packages shredded Cheddar cheese
1 bunch green onions

Steps:

  • In a medium microwave safe bowl, mix cream cheese and Cheddar cheese. Microwave on high heat approximately 45 seconds, stirring frequently until melted and smooth.
  • Lay ham slices flat, and spread with cheese mixture. Place one green onion parallel to one edge of each ham slice. Tightly roll the ham slices into thin logs around the green onions.
  • Slice the logs into 1/4 to 1/3 inch wide rings. Arrange rings flat on a large serving platter. Cover and chill until serving.

These pretty pinwheel appetizers from Charlie Clutts of New Tazewell, Tennessee are easy to make and fun to nibble, with a yummy cream cheese filling that's layered with ham.

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
3 green onions, chopped
11 flour tortillas (8 inches)
22 thin slices deli ham

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and salad dressing mix until smooth. Stir in onions. Spread about 3 tablespoons over each tortilla; top each with two ham slices. , Roll up tightly and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate until firm. Unwrap and cut into 3/4-in. slices.

My kids call these "Roll 'Em Ups" and they LOVE them... they are very yummy and super easy to make. This is a recipe we got and Tom altered to our tastes a bit :) Yum!

16 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
1 bunch green onion, chopped

  • Lay ham slices flat, and spread with cheese mixture. Sprinkle the green onions on top of the cheese mixture. Tightly roll the ham slices into thin logs around the green onions.

1 (2 1/4 ounce) can chopped ripe olives, , drained
1/3 cup thinly sliced green onion
8 -10 slices fully cooked ham (, thin slices)

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; stir in the olives and onions.
  • Spread over ham slices.
  • Roll up, jelly roll style, starting with a short side.
  • Chill for at least 1 hour.
  • Just before serving, cut into 1 inch pieces.
