- Heat sauerkraut;drain juice; set aside.
- Microwave the meat;drain juice; set aside.
- Toast rye bead. Spread with Russian dressing.
- Top with warm meat, sauerkraut and cover with swiss cheese.
- Put under broiler until cheese is melted.

GRILLED REUBEN SANDWICH ON RYE
Easy to make and delicious. You can use rye, rye dill bread, pumpernickel or marble rye bread. Whatever suites your taste best. Reason I suggest to cut up corned beef is, its easier to bite into, less messy. (this is how I do it but its optional)

Steps:
- 1. add approx 2 tablespoon of butter or margarine to fry pan, once melted add sauerkraut ... fry and stir 5 minutes on low. Add cut up corned beef to sauerkraut ... fry and stir corned beef and sauerkraut mixture another 5 minutes on low. Remove from heat.
- 2. Butter one side of rye bread slices .. enough slices to make desired amount of sandwiches.. place butter side down on warmed grill/frying pan (sprayed with non stick butter flavor spray). Add the desired amount of sauerkraut and corned beef mixture, followed by approx 1 tbs thousand island salad dressing and 1 slice of swiss cheese. Place on top other slice of bread with butter side facing up. Grill/fry both sides until bread is slightly browned/crisp and cheese is melted.
- 3. Serve warm with pickle slices/spears and chips .. Enjoy !
A DIFFERENT GRILLED CHICKEN REUBEN SANDWICH

Steps:
- Brush chicken and onion with 1/2 cup of the salad dressing and set aside.
- Combine 1/4 cup of the salad dressing with the cabbage, mix well and set aside.
- Grill the chicken 5 to 7 minutes per side or until no pink in the center.
- Top each chicken breast with a slice of Swiss cheese during the last minute of grilling.
- Grill onion slices 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until browned and tender.
- Grill rolls until toasted.
- Spread toasted sides with remaining salad dressing.
- Place chicken on roll bottoms.
- Top with onion, cabbage mixture and roll tops.
- Garnish each, if desired, with a dill pickle spear and a toothpick.
- Serve immediately.

GRILLED REUBEN SANDWICH WITH POLISH KIELBASA

Steps:
- 1. Butter each slice of bread on one side only. Build the sandwich in a 10-12 inch cold skillet. Place 2 slices, butter side down in the skillet. Top each slice with 1 tablespoon of the dressing.
- 2. Then top each of the two slices with 1/4 of sauerkraut(more if desired spred it out evenly to cover the dressing. Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of the sauerkraut.
- 3. On a small microwaveable plate, heat the 4 pieces of sausage for about 30 sconds just to warm slightly.(Or in a separate small skillet over medium heat pan fry the sausage just to warm through)
- 4. Place two sausage pieces on top of the cheese in each sandwich. Spead another 1 tablespoon of dressing on the dry side of the last 2 slice of bread and place it dressing side down and butter side up, over the the sausages.
- 5. Place the skillet over medium-low heat and grill the sandwich slowly. Grill until the bread is toasted and crisp and the cheese is starting to melted. Press down gently on the sandwich. Carefully turn the sandwich over to grill the other side. Grill until the sandwich is nicely toasted on both sides and the cheese is melted. Remove from pan and serve immediately.
- 6. * a panini press can be used in place of the skillet. You can double the rye bread, Swiss cheese and sausage.
