CREAMY GOODNESS! Easy to prepare and cooks while you work or shop! My DH loves this dish and particularly the sour cream flavor which is added just prior to serving. MAKES A GOOD GRAVY for potatoes or rice.

4 chicken breasts
1 (10 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
1 teaspoon hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
2 small potatoes, sliced thin (optional)

Steps:

  • Place chicken breasts in crock pot. Mix soup, teaspoon of mix and milk in a small bowl. Pour over chicken. Add potatoes if desired.
  • Cook on high for 1 hour. Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours until chicken is tender. During last 15 minutes of cooking time, stir in sour cream.
  • Note: Soup and dressing mix provides some salt to recipe. But if using potatoes, add salt and pepper to taste.

4 -6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
3 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 small onion, sliced thin
1 (7 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
2 tablespoons parsley flakes

Steps:

  • Grease the inside of the slow cooker.
  • Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Combine the rest of the ingredients in a medium pot and heat on medium high; stirring occasionally until cream cheese is incorporated.
  • Pour sauce over chicken in crock pot, and heat on low approximately 4 hours until chicken is tender and falling apart.
  • Sprinkle with parsley flakes.
  • Serve over pasta, egg noodles, or rice.

1 (2 ounce) envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
1 tablespoon garlic powder

2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

1 cup white wine

4 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs (*can sub 4-6 breasts if desired or use some of each)
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 ounce low-sodium italian salad dressing mix
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
1/2 cup chicken broth or 1/2 cup chicken bouillon
1 large onion, chopped
2 tablespoons chicken broth (to cook onion in)
2 cloves minced garlic
1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained

Steps:

  • Brush chicken with butter and layer in crock pot with dry Italian seasoning mix sprinkled on each layer.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours.
  • About 45 minutes before done, brown the onion in the chicken broth and then add the cream cheese, soup, salt& pepper and remaining chicken broth to the saucepan.
  • Add the minced garlic and mushrooms, and stir all ingredients until smooth.
  • Pour sauce mixture over chicken in crockpot and cook an additional 30-45 minutes.
  • Remove chicken to platter and stir sauce before putting in gravy bowl or pouring over chicken.

I was in the mood for some sort of stroganoff-y thing, so I went to look through my cookbooks. This actually started out as an attempt for me to make a recipe from the Better Homes and Gardens Biggest Book of Slow Cooker Recipes. With each ingredient, I found myself either not having it or substituting it with something else, so at the end, I decided this recipe is actually more of a creation of my own, and it didn't turn out too bad!

2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
1 1/2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
4 -5 boneless skinless chicken breasts (frozen)
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 (6 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 cups frozen peas (ice melted and drained, just peas, no ice)
10 ounces wide egg noodles (about 5 cups)

Steps:

  • Scatter the dried onion flakes and the parsley flakes in the bottom of a 4 quart crock pot.
  • Place frozen chicken breasts on top of dried onion flakes and parsley flakes.
  • In a bowl, stir together the soup, water, thyme, garlic powder, pepper, and mushrooms.
  • Pour this mixture over the chicken in the crock pot, making sure all the chicken is covered.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or high for 4 - 4 1/2 hours.
  • Sometime in the last hour, remove the chicken breasts from the crock pot, and cool slightly.
  • While the chicken is cooling, cook the egg noodles according to the package directions.
  • Stir the peas into the mixture in the slow cooker, cut the chicken breasts into bite-size pieces, and stir the chicken back into the mixture in the slow cooker as well.
  • Serve chicken mixture over egg noodles. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
